Departing from Antigua Guatemala, this expedition will take you through mountain trails under the stars, guided by professional mountain guides from Brújula Expeditions. Reach the summit at dawn to witness the incredible sunrise over the volcanic peaks and the awe-inspiring eruptions of Volcán de Fuego.

Hydration: at least 3 liters of water (the hike takes about 7 hours to the summit)
Comfortable hiking clothes
Cold-weather gloves and hat
Waterproof jacket, down jacket, or warm sweater
Good hiking shoes
Power snacks (nuts, chocolate, energy bars)
This is considered a moderately challenging to difficult hike, with 5–6 hours of uphill trekking on day one. You should be in good physical condition, but no technical climbing experience is required.
The hike operates in most weather conditions. However, extreme weather may delay or cancel certain parts of the itinerary for safety reasons.
