Itinerary

Begin your day with a scenic drive from Antigua Guatemala to the base of Pacaya Volcano. Transportation is included and offers views of the Guatemalan countryside en route to the national park.

Reach the entrance to Pacaya Volcano National Park, where you’ll meet your local guide and prepare for the adventure. Final checks are done here before starting the hike.

Embark on a moderate hike through forest trails and volcanic terrain. The trail leads up to Cerro Chino, a viewpoint offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes and volcanic cones.

Enjoy a break at the summit with panoramic views of nearby volcanoes like Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. This is a great spot for photos and to take in the surreal volcanic scenery.

Descend to explore the blackened lava fields from previous eruptions. The cooled lava formations create an otherworldly landscape, where you'll also get to roast marshmallows using the heat of volcanic vents.

Stop at Pizza Pacaya, a one-of-a-kind experience where pizza is cooked on volcanic rock. Then visit the Lava Store, a small shop with souvenirs made from local volcanic materials.

Complete the hike and return to the entrance of the park. Take time to rest and reflect on the experience before heading back.

Board the transport for a relaxed return to Antigua Guatemala, concluding the adventure with a head full of memories and stunning photos.
