The full experience lasts approximately 12 to 14 hours including ascent and descent.
Previous hiking experience is helpful but not required if you have good physical fitness.
Acatenango Volcano stands at approximately 3,976 meters (13,044 ft) above sea level.
Some gear may be available to rent in Antigua (jackets, walking sticks, gloves). It’s recommended to confirm this with your tour provider in advance.
The hike operates in most weather conditions. However, extreme weather may delay or cancel certain parts of the itinerary for safety reasons.
